Let’s begin with the bad news: We all welcomed Rick Karsdorp back to playing days last night after five months absence. He never played before since joining Roma in the summer. We have learnt this morning that the right back has suffered the rupture the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last night. But how and when? Another one following the same jinx on Strooman, Florenzi, Capradossi, Ponce, Mario Rui, Nura, Rudiger, Palmieri, Luca Pellegrini, Tumminello. Fourteen in the last three years! A negative record.. Most likely he will out for the rest of the season. We wish Rick the best of luck.
The game last night. Roma did just enough to secure three points against minnow Crotone thanks to a doubtful penalty converted by Diego Perotti. The foul on Kolarov is not a foul, but the VAR was not not called by the match officials. Overall, not a great match to watch, apart from Kolarov showing off his great talent the rest of the team did not perform as good. Crotone were given too much space on the counter and it was a relief to snatch a narrow victory at the end. The most important thing is to keep up the pace with the league leaders who continue to win games, too.
Next Bologna on Saturday evening. The same Bologna who kep Inter at bay but lost at home to Lazio last night. Then Chelsea on Tuesday. Another two crucial matches ahead. Let’s stay behind the team and get the flags ready. Forza Roma!
