The point is that Roma did not show much in this game, no fighting spirit, where all seemed improvised The defense is the same as last season but the mechanisms do not work the same. In the middle young Zaniolo was the massive suprise to start, meaning that EDF is well prepared to give a chance to anyone, regardless.
EDF he’s looking elsewhere, anyone that shows motivation and commitment, and this guy he’s a young player with a good future. Kolarov on the left is going through a difficult periods post World Cup, Nzonzi is too too slow, with Zaniolo the only who has tried to give some quick options to pass the ball. Dzeko looks a bit lazy, Schick just his bad shadow. Kluivert was left to watch in the stands when he could have been a good option. Olsen was the best on the night together with the immortal De Rossi and Cengiz, the only one stinging upfront.
The Bernabeu was fabulous, Real Madrid play great football, but personally I went to Spain to watch Roma, not Madrid. Before the game we met with Di Francesco, Monchi and some players for morning coffee.
